Who Owns The Moon? 🌕

Ever looked up into the night sky, looked at the moon, just sitting there, and thought?

Who the hell owns that?

Well, it’s not America, not Russia, not some random world organization.

This guy does: Dennis Hope

Ya, really. (At least according to him)

See, about 40 years ago,

Dennis was unemployed and borderline broke:

But you can't just… claim the Moon right?

That's what Dennis thought.

Until he remembered something he learned in college…

In the 1967 United Nations Outer Space Treaty it basically says:

“No Country can own the Moon”

So, he claimed it!

He sent a letter to the United Nations saying:

And, as of yet, they haven't let him know.

In the 40 years since claiming the Moon, Dennis has sold moon plots to over 5 million people.

Including, somehow 3 former presidents (Bush Sr, Carter and Reagan).

A single acre plot of land will cost you $19.95 ($36.50 after a "lunar tax")
