Why Did the US Nuke Japan? 🗾

You know like 80 years ago when the US… nuked japan?
Why'd we do that?
So let's set the scene…
Its, World War 2 and Germany is invading everything here:
And Japan is invading everything here:
Now At this point the US wasn't in the war
They were just chillin on the sidelines funding their buddies.
But then US president Franklin D Roosevelt received a letter from Albert Einstein of all people.
It basically read:
But then… Japan, probably smoking something crazy decides to poke the sleeping bear.
And bombs tf out of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. (A US naval base)
Fast forward though a whole lot of war and fighting and stuff…
And eventually a couple years after the US gets involved and Nazi Germany’s like:
But theres a problem…
Japan just DOESN'T give up.
But the US really didn’t wanna get involved in a full scale land war with Japan that could take forever and cost a bunch of lives.
So remember those fancy atomic bombs they’d been working on…?
They decided to test em out.
And one more for good luck…
And there you have it, Japan surrendered, World War 2 officially ended!
